SavvyRecruiter Main Modules

Aptitude
Aptitude is considered to be an important variable for predicting the suitability of candidates for most occupations. An individual's ability to think or solve problems is in reality comprised of two different aspects of intelligence:

  • Fluid intelligence (reasoning) - the ability to analyze information and draw accurate and logical conclusions (e.g. visual analogies and visual closure)
  • Crystallized intelligence (knowledge) - the ability to acquire information through experience and/or education

SavvyRecruiter's aptitude test is comprised of a number of tests:

  • Visual Analogies: taps the ability to apply logic and pure reasoning skills to solve problems while dealing with novel situations. The inductive and deductive reasoning skills measured by this test are important in all work settings, since they enable employees to develop techniques spontaneously in order to solve new problems, infer rules, and grasp conceptual relationships.
  • Visual Closure: measures the ability to grasp and unify a complex situation and understand the "big picture" from a vantage point that offers just a fragmented view of the issues at hand.
  • Information Processing: taps the individual's proficiency in broad areas of fact and information. Scores on this test reflect a candidate's acquired knowledge, long-term memory and verbal comprehension.
  • Categorization: assesses logic and associative reasoning skills, as well as the ability to conceptualize relationships, while testing for unusual thinking patterns.
  • Vocabulary: assesses the examinee's level of vocabulary, verbal comprehension and ability to form language associations.
  • Memory: measures two independent forms of short-term memory - visual and auditory. Memory test scores reflect the degree to which new short-term information can be successfully retained and recalled.

Personality
Recent research clearly demonstrates that personality is a valid predictor of job performance. This predictive relationship is strengthened when the personality traits are tested by means of standardized instruments, and the unique personality requirements of the job have been accurately identified.

SavvyRecruiter utilizes the NEOIPIP personality inventory as its personality assessment module. This personality test inventory reflects the five-factor model that is the current dominant approach for representing the human trait structure. The model asserts that five basic factors describe most personality traits:

  • Extraversion
  • Agreeableness
  • Conscientiousness
  • Emotional stability
  • Openness to experience
Each of these factors is then broken down into six sub-factors, yielding a total analysis of 30 personality traits. Since research has indicated that these factors are related to job performance, vocational interests and personal values, this type of test is useful for obtaining a detailed assessment of normal personality for use in human resources development. The personality inventory sheds light on an individual's strengths and limitations, and can be used to evaluate a candidate's suitability for varied jobs with regard to interpersonal relationships, personal temperament and goal orientation.

SavvyIntegrity
Following in the footsteps of the first set of integrity tests developed in the 1960s and the first set of computerized integrity tests developed in the 1990s, SavvyIntegrity breaks new ground by delivering a highly reliable non-invasive method for identifying a candidate's overall level of integrity, as well as his or her propensity toward theft and bribery. (For more information see SavvyIntegrity module page.)

Work Competency Tests
Different positions require varying competencies that are critical to successful job performance. HRVision's unique set of work competency tests reflects actual job conditions within diverse environmental contexts.

Stress Tolerance
This test provides a precise and comprehensive measure of a candidate's ability to maintain consistently reliable work performance, while being exposed to work stress and its real-life stressors, such as negative feedback, tight work deadlines and overwhelming workloads.

Social Awareness This module provides an objective and precise measure of a candidate's ability to comprehend social nuances and emotional expressions. Social awareness a facet of emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in predicting potential success when performance of a particular job demands social interaction and interpersonal skills.

Social Awareness Test (Emotional Intelligence)

Distractibility Resistance
This module provides a precise and comprehensive measure of a candidate's ability to maintain consistent and reliable work performance, while being exposed to real-life distracters. This test predicts the likelihood that candidates will be able to maintain "task focus" in the presence of both auditory and visual distracters, and apply their skills in a real-life environment.

Performance Efficiency
This module measures how quickly and accurately an individual can complete simple tasks that require attention to detail. Performance efficiency measures pure mental speed, attention to visual details, and performance under light time pressure. The test also measures an individual's ability to learn quickly and effectively.

Coordination
This module is especially important for manual jobs where a worker's hand-hand-eye coordination is basic to job performance. This module tests coordination by moving an object on the screen, through vertical and horizontal maneuverings, in various directions.
